Weight loss may or may not be one of your goals, I think we would all be lying if we said we didn’t have an “ideal weight” in mind, but if we look at the bigger picture, there’s so much more that we can achieve –

  • Being more active – not just sitting around watching Netflix and eating M and M’s.
  • Having more energy in general.
  • Making more effort to eat healthier meals – And in turn, teaching our families to eat healthier, too.
  • Learning to not sweat the small stuff – we all have days where we don’t eat or move as planned, but learning to get over it, and just move on. Back to normal life again as soon as we can.
  • Feeling happier in our day to day life. What’s the point in losing weight if you’re miserable at the end. Does the number on the scales REALLY determine your happiness?

This is all about getting back to the absolute basics.

While I can and will work with women from all lifestyles and fitness levels, this is aimed at the woman who maybe has been inactive for a number of years, and has no clue where to start. The lady who is absolutely terrified at the concept of going out and exercising in public. The one who lives remotely, and doesn’t have access to a gym and doesn’t know what to do to be active at home.

While writing you an exercise programme is an available option to you (and there are programmes in my Members Only section that you will have access to), if you are incredibly unfit, or haven’t exercised for a long time, and are not doing a whole lot right now, then the exercise side of things is going to be much more basic than that to start with. It might not seem like much, but you know what? Think back to that programme you dove headfirst into, the one that required you to do full on exercise every day, made you live on celery and broccoli for days on end. Are you still doing it? If so, does it make you happy?

Why not work together to set much smaller goals, which over time, will add up to much bigger changes? If we start at the very beginning, and make changes that you can actually adhere to, you’re much likely to be in for the long haul, and will start to see much bigger changes than in the short term, unrealistic diets and exercise programmes you’ve done in the past.

So what’s it going to be all about? What will you get out of it?

  • Initial Goal Setting and chat – however long this needs to be. This can be done via video chat on Facebook Messenger, Zoom or Skype. I can’t help you if I don’t know anything about you, so let’s use this time to get to know each other better, so you can start ready to go, and knowing exactly what you need to do.
  • My Fitness Pal review (if desired) we add each other on the App, and before our weekly check ins (below) I can take a look at how you are getting on.
  • Weekly video chat to discuss how you’re going – here we can revise anything that we need to change, add any new things in, etc.
  • Exercise programme. As mentioned earlier – this may or may not happen initially, dependent on where you are starting from. It might be that you are starting with 1 5 minute walk a day, and that’s absolutely fine. We start wherever you are NOW, not where you want to be.
  • Available via email/messaging my Facebook Page outside of our scheduled chats – I may not be there right then and there, but I will always answer as soon as I am able to.
  • Most of all, you get a sounding board. Someone who understands the struggles to get active and to make better choices. Someone you can talk to who is unbiased, who will never judge you or your choices, and can help you make changes that can be a lot harder to make when you go it alone.
